CANoe Option SmartCharging extends CANoe by adding the possibility of simulating the communication behavior of an electric vehicle (EV) or charging station (EVSE) during the charging process. This makes option SmartCharging the ideal tool for setting up a flexible, parameterizable counterpart for validating functionality in developing charging controllers for EVs and EVSEs. In addition to the automatic communication sequence, the individual sending and receiving of predefined communication messages is also possible. This functionality lets you implement test cases easily and conveniently.

The Ethernet option extends CANoe with access to Ethernet networks. The interfaces of the VN5600 family, for example, are used for this purpose. They provide direct access to physical layers such as IEEE 10BASE-T1S, 100BASE-T1 (OABR) and 1000BASE-T1, which are widely used in the automotive environment. In addition, CANoe.Ethernet gives you access to Ethernet-specific protocols such as SOME/IP and SOME/IP-SD as well as IP, TCP, UDP, AVB, RTP and many more.
vTESTstudio is a powerful development environment for creating automated ECU tests. In order to increase the efficiency in terms of test design and to simplify the reusability it provides either programming-based as well as tabel-based and graphical test notations and test development methods. vTEStstudio can be employed in all product development phases: from model testing right through to system validation. Thanks to the use of open interfaces vTESTstudio can be simply incorporated into existing tool landscapes.
With the VT system test systems for the function test of ECUs and vehicle networks can be assembled. CANoe is the associated test automation software.

The VT7970 is a dedicated module for testing smart charging communication according to DIN 70121 and ISO 15118. It can be used to test both electric vehicles (EV) and charging stations (EVSE).
With VH5110A – also called “CCS Listener” – you can analyze the communication between a charging station (EVSE) and an electric vehicle (EV) based on CCS and NACS standards. The VH5110A “listens” to the data communicated on the Control Pilot Line (CP) via Powerline Communication (PLC) and converts them into Ethernet packets that are interpreted in CANoe. In addition, the PWM parameters of the basic communication are measured and displayed in CANoe as system variables.
